Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Designer to join our client based in Shirley, Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and growing company specialising in the design and manufacture of mechanical handling solutions across multiple industries.
This Junior Mechanical Designer role is ideal for someone with a passion for engineering, design, and problem-solving, looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
Your Role
- Collaborating with the engineering team to design and develop mechanical handling systems
- Creating detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
- Analysing, testing, and optimising designs for performance and efficiency
- Ensuring all designs meet industry standards and safety regulations
- Supporting the manufacturing and installation process where required
- Maintaining accurate design records and documentation
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in mechanical design
- Proficiency in design software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Pay & Shifts
- £14.00 per hour
- Monday - Friday
- 08:00 - 17:00
- 30 minute unpaid break
- Temporary to permanent opportunity after a successful minimum 12 week period
