Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Machine Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing tissue paper supplier with production sites across Europe and distribution to over 70 countries worldwide.
This Machine Maintenance Engineer role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for breakdown support, planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities within the facility's production operations.
As a Machine Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
- Attending breakdowns on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment within the paper industry
- Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
- Carrying out continuous improvement projects
- Identifying faults and performing Root Cause Analysis on equipment breakdowns
- Monitoring equipment performance following repairs
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance tasks and spare part usage using EAM Infor CMMS
- Participating in plant improvements and modifications
- Attending relevant training to support daily tasks
Requirements:
- Completed Multi-skilled Apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of PLC hardware, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance
- PLC or robot cell programming and/or fault-finding experience
Pay & Shifts:
- Monday to Friday
- Two-shift pattern
- Weekly pay from an experienced payroll team
- Holiday accrued up to 28 days (pro-rata)
