Class 1 Night Driver's Pay rates:
- Nights: £17.50 per hour Monday to Friday PAYE ONLY
- Weekends & Bank Holidays: £19.50 per hour PAYE ONLY
Please note, the above rate quoted does not include holiday pay as holiday pay is paid separately when you book holiday. Your hourly pay rate is £17.50 and you will accrue £2.11 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to make sure our drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper time off work as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and mental wellbeing of all workers.
Class 1 Night Drivers required immediately for temporary work for a client who specialises in distributing fresh milk and dairy products across the whole of the UK. Our customer in Tewkesbury is one of our largest clients based in the Gloucestershire area and are well known for treating their drivers well from previous and current positive feedback. This family run business is looking for drivers to join their smoothly ran operation on a temporary basis.
The customer is looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers on Nights who are flexible to work Monday-Friday and weekends. Our client will be accepting HGV Class 1 Drivers who fit the criteria listed below:
Duties of a Class 1 Driver working on Nights:
- Easy trunking to an RDC
- Store deliveries of cages
- Up to 4 drops if carrying out store deliveries
- Flexibility to work different contracts
- The ability to undertake manual handling
The ideal HGV Class 1 driver will:
- Have a valid HGV CE Class 1 Driving License
- 6 Months experience is preferred but not essential
- Valid CPC Card
- Valid Digital Card
- Clean Driving License with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD) codes.
Start times can vary but we are looking for Class 1 Drivers on Nights who are available to start around 04:00 to 08:00. Shifts can be long but in keeping with tachograph law up to 10 to 12 hours per shift on average.
