Work Overview: We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Yard Shunter to join our team in Hereford. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent AM shift work with competitive weekday and enhanced weekend pay rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely manoeuvring vehicles and trailers within the yard
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading/unloading
  • Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting defects
  • Working closely with the warehouse and transport teams to maintain efficient operations
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence preferred (may consider experienced shunters without)
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card (if applicable)
  • Previous shunting or yard experience is essential
  • Good awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Shift Pattern: AM starts (exact times to be confirmed). Weekend availability required.
