We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join a busy and growing engineering company based in Sheldon, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking for stable, ongoing work within a supportive workshop environment.
The Role
As a MIG Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and fabricated structures to engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard
- Fabricating parts and assemblies from technical drawings
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling metal sections
- Operating workshop machinery and tools safely
- Working at height when required (using scissor lift equipment)
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder
- C Approved Welding Certificate (essential)
- Valid Scissor Lift Licence (essential)
- Strong fabrication experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
