Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) drivers to support one of our well-established customers in the Swadlincote area. This is an ongoing role with a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
This role involves delivering steel lintels and other steel products to builders merchants and trade customers, including long-distance deliveries, so previous experience with steel loads and strapping is essential.
The Role:- Delivering steel lintels and steel products
- Deliveries to builders merchants and trade sites
- Long-distance and regional deliveries
- Completing 3-8 drops per day
- Start times between 3:00am - 6:00am
- Long working hours expected
- Vehicles are pre-loaded and ready to go
- No handball involved - offloading handled on-site
- Strapping and securing steel loads safely (essential)
- Ensuring load safety and compliance at all times
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence
- In-date CPC and Digi card
- Minimum 2 years holding a Class 2 licence
- Must be aged 21+ for insurance purposes
- Previous steel delivery experience (including lintels preferred)
- Proven experience strapping and securing steel loads
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
£15.00 per hour
£1.81 per hour holiday pay accrued
Total equivalent: £16.81 per hour
Holiday pay is banked and paid when you take annual leave.
Monday to Friday
No weekends
