We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver for a temporary, ad-hoc removals role based in Paisley to start work from 27th February 2026.
Location: Paisley
Shifts Available: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 08:00 AM - 16:00 PM
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
The Role
This is a removals driving position, primarily focused on transporting goods safely from point A to point B. You will be responsible for ensuring items are delivered securely and professionally while maintaining excellent service standards. You will be working alongside a driver's mate, meaning the majority of heavy lifting will be supported. While the role is mainly driving-focused, you must be willing to assist your driver's mate with loading and unloading when required.
Duties include:
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle for removals work
- Transporting household or commercial items between locations
- Working alongside a driver's mate on all jobs
- Assisting with loading and unloading as part of a team
- Driving both boxed and curtain side vehicles comfortably
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring paperwork is accurate
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
There is minimal handball expected from the driver, but a team-player attitude and willingness to help are essential.
Requirements
- Must have held a Class 2 (Category C) licence for a minimum of 6 months
- At least 3 months commercial Class 2 driving experience
- Comfortable driving boxed and curtain side vehicles
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No major endorsements (DR, DD, IN)
- Willing to assist with removals duties when required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong awareness of road safety and compliance
