Class 1 (C+E) Driver - Steel Deliveries
£17.00 per hour | Dudley Area | Immediate Starts Available
Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in the Dudley area. This is an ongoing role with a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
This position involves delivering steel products, so previous experience with steel loads and strapping is essential.
The Role
- Delivering steel products to local and regional customers
- 2-3 drops per day
- 05:00am start time
- Monday to Friday - no weekend work
- Long working days available
- Loads are pre-picked, with drivers assisting with loading when required
- Strapping and securing steel loads safely (essential)
- Ensuring load safety and compliance at all times
Driver Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- In-date CPC and Digi card
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Previous steel delivery experience
- Experience strapping and securing steel loads
- No more than 6 points on licence (no major endorsements)
- Reliable, professional, and punctual approach
Pay Rate
£17.00 per hour
£2.05 per hour holiday pay accrued
Total equivalent rate: £19.05 per hour
Holiday pay is banked and paid when annual leave is taken.
