Job Description
Class 1 Day Driver – Ongoing Work
Pure Staff have an excellent opportunity for experienced and reliable Class 1 (CE) drivers for an ongoing day position. Our customer is based in the Skelmersdale area, with immediate starts available.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- UK Category CE licence held for a minimum of 1 year
- At least 6 months Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- Reliable and flexible working attitude
Role Details:
- Ongoing day work
- Curtain-sided vehicles
- Trunking with 2-4 drops per shift
- Start times between 04:00 – 07:00
- 10-12 hour shifts
- No tramping
- Return home after every shift
Pay Rate:
- £14.61 per hour + £1.76 holiday accrual
Your hourly pay rate is £14.61, and you will accrue £1.76 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to make sure our drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper time off work as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and mental wellbeing of all workers.

- Monday to Friday work
- Consistent start times within the 04:00-07:00 window
