Class 1 Driver wanted - £16.00 per hour. Join Pure Staff and take on a fantastic opportunity with our long-term, reliable client in Saltley, Birmingham. We have partnered with this client since 2011, with many of our drivers successfully moving into permanent positions. This is your chance to secure a temporary role with the opportunity to become ongoing.

Your role as a Class 1 Driver

  • Efficient & safe deliveries: ensure timely, accurate deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Communication: keep in regular contact with the depot and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Flexibility: will need to be flexible with starting time and willing to work in central London.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver.
  • Full in-date CPC, tachograph card, and driving licence.
  • Must have held an HGV Class 2 Driver licence for at least 12 months.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and confidence on the road.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
  • Willing to complete an on-site induction prior to January.
  • Must be willing to do 2 nights out a week if needed.

Pay & benefits

  • £16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday) + holiday entitlement.
  • Ongoing role: secure long-term employment after a successful probationary period.
  • Free parking at the depot.
  • 10 - 12 hour shifts typically.
  • Occasional weekend shifts available for those interested in extra hours.
