Yard Operative

The role: * To assist the Warehouse with ensuring all aspects of the yard operation are conducted safely and in a timely manner. * Taking reasonable care of both your own health & safety and that of others, ensuring all company safety & quality systems are followed at all times and report any incidents or suggestions to your line manager. * Controlling the movements on site and the smooth-running running of vehicles entering and exiting the yard * Control of all vehicle movements within the yard environment * Logging all inbound driver arrival and departure times * Ensuring the yard & surrounding areas are maintained to a high level of housekeeping The Ideal Candidate: * Good communication skills * Be able to make decisions and cope in a pressured environment * Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team * Owing to location of business a full Driving License and access to a vehicle Sunday to Thursday with options for overtime, shifts below. * Monday – Thursday 10:00 – 19:00 * Sunday 07:30 – 16:30 (INDPERM)
