My client is an engineering business with a small but busy warehouse and distribution centre in West Thurrock. They are looking for a hard working warehouse operator who would be happy to deliver parts out in the field three days a week and someone who is technically minded to potentially help with repair work leading to a potential promotion into field servicing. HOURS: Mon to Fri (Apply online only) (1530 Fridays) SALARY: Β£26-29K pa (depending on experience) Key Accountabilities *Accurately and efficiently pick/pack items for customers and engineers to strict delivery deadlines. * Accurately and efficiently receive, book-in, put-away and despatch stock. * Safely operate fork-lift truck as required for warehouse transactions including unloading and loading vehicles. * Comply with all Health and Safety requirements on-site and participate in their enforcement. * Drive company van to deliver stock to central London locations when required. * Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and effectively for stock transactions. * Support Warehouse Manager and communicate with other departments to ensure issues are resolved promptly. * Carry-out stock counts accurately and reconcile discrepancies using WMS. * Assist engineering team when required. * Carry-out all other general warehouse and housekeeping duties. * Refurbishment of our product. Person Specification Essential * Experience working in a warehouse environment carrying-out pick/pack, goods-in, dispatch and general warehouse operations. * Fork Truck licence with (ideally) a minimum of 1 year experience. * Driving licence (manual) with a maximum of 3 points and no serious previous offences. * Confident driver, able to drive a small van. * Computer literate with experience in using WMS, hardware (scanners, printers, etc.) and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word). * Must show a hands-on approach, able to carry-out manual handling duties and use MHE safely. * Good written and verbal communications skills. * Ability to work to hit KPI\’s and achieve challenging deadlines. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * A friendly, positive and hardworking approach to work. * Trustworthy and reliable. Desirable * Reach Truck licence. * Experience using Microsoft Business Dynamics 365. * Experience delivering goods in central London. * Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Marshal training
