Pure Staff’s Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced Van Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Coleshill, Birmingham.

Our customer is one of the UK’s leading food-to-go and frozen bakery distributors, supplying hundreds of high-quality bakery and food products to retailers, cafe’s, coffee shops, convenience stores and hospitality businesses nationwide.

£13.00 per hour (+ £1.57 per hour accrued holiday pay).

Holiday pay is accrued separately and paid when you take annual leave.

The Van Driver Role

As a Van Driver, you’ll be delivering food products to retail and commercial customers throughout the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Typical duties include:

• Completing 8 to 15 deliveries per shift.
• Delivering to convenience stores, retail outlets and commercial customers.
• Loading and unloading your vehicle safely.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Checking deliveries against paperwork before leaving site.
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork.
• Maintaining regular communication with the transport office throughout your shift.
• Ensuring your vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy and any defects are reported promptly.

This is a physically active role and suits professional Van Drivers who enjoy customer-facing work, take pride in their driving and understand the importance of reliability.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this Van Driver position you’ll need:

• Minimum 6 months commercial Van Driving experience (preferred).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Confidence driving larger panel vans.
• A positive, professional and customer-focused attitude.
• The ability to complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork accurately.
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping.
