Packing Operative Permanent Paddock Wood, Kent Posted 7 hours ago £29000 - £31000 per annum

The working hours are Sun-Thursday.

Sunday starts at 5am-2pm, then Mon-Thurs is 8am-5pm You will be working as part of a team preparing fresh fruit and vegetables for packing and dispatch.

This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, teamwork and a strong work ethic are important.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Quality Check: Inspecting fresh fruit or vegetables and removing any damaged or substandard items.
  • Packing & Weighing: Accurately weighing, sorting, and placing produce into boxes, trays, or punnets.
  • Palletising: Stacking completed, labelled boxes onto pallets safely for dispatch.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a clean workspace while following food safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long shifts and handle light-to-moderate lifting.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work at a fast pace
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required
  • Previous pack-house, food production or warehouse experience is helpful but not essential

This role is permanent role, fully office based in Paddock Wood, and you must have your own transport due to location.
