HGV Class 1 Driver on afternoon and night shifts for immediate starts in Luton. Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver for our client in Luton on a Friday to Monday shift pattern starting ASAP!
Class 1 Driver Pay rates:
- Nights Mon to Fri £18.00
- Saturday Nights £19.00
- Sunday Nights £19.50
Please note, the above rate quoted does not include holiday pay as holiday pay is paid separately when you book holiday. Your hourly pay rate is £18 and you will accrue £2.17 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to make sure our drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper time off work as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and mental wellbeing of all workers.

Start times can vary but will be between 2am and 12pm on days, and from 4pm to 12am. Shifts can be long but in keeping with tachograph laws they will be up to 10 to 12 hours per shift on average.
Duties of HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Trunking runs on day shifts to variety of clients, with self-tip for some of them
- Container work on night shifts
- 10 - 14 hour days
- Weekdays and weekends
The customer is looking for Class 1 Drivers who are able to do Monday to Friday shifts, no weekends.
The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver will have:
- A valid HGV CE Class 1 Driving License
- A minimum of 2 years experience is essential
- Valid CPC Card
- Valid Digital Card
- Clean Driving License with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD) codes.
