Role Overview
Pure Staff is recruiting a Junior Mechanical Designer to join a client in Shirley, Solihull, specialising in the design and manufacture of mechanical handling solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop mechanical handling systems
- Create detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
- Analyse, test, and optimise designs for performance and efficiency
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards and safety regulations
- Support the manufacturing and installation process where required
- Maintain accurate design records and documentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience or training in mechanical design
- Proficiency in design software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Pay & Shifts:
£14.00 per hour, Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. Temporary to permanent opportunity after a successful minimum 12‑week period.
