Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to work with one of our long-standing clients in the Droitwich area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for regular work, great rates of pay and the chance to work with a respected nationwide dairy distribution operation.

This HGV Class 1 Night Driver role offers ongoing work, a modern fleet, excellent facilities and a transport team that genuinely values its drivers. Many of our drivers have worked on this contract for years, with numerous drivers successfully progressing into permanent positions.

Pay Rates

PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £19.46 per hour
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £28.41 per hour

PAYE with Optional Rolled Up Holiday Pay

• Monday to Friday: £21.81 per hour
• Saturday: £24.57 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £31.84 per hour

Rolled up holiday pay is available as an option on this contract, allowing you to receive your holiday pay within your hourly rate. Alternatively, holiday can be accrued separately if preferred.

The Role

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for completing store deliveries across the region while representing both Pure Staff and our client professionally at all times.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering products to retail stores
• Operating a tail lift safely and efficiently
• Roll cage deliveries with roll-on, roll-off handling
• Completing all POD and delivery documentation accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards on site
• Complying with all driver hours, WTD and road transport regulations

This role does involve physical work and handball duties, therefore applicants must be comfortable moving roll cages and carrying out manual handling tasks.

Shift Pattern

• Saturday to Wednesday
• Night shifts available
• Start times between 00:30 and 04:30
• Typical shifts are 8-12 hours
• Ongoing, regular work available
• Additional shifts and overtime opportunities may be available

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Night Driver position, you must have:

• Full UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
• Professional and reliable attitude
• Strong customer service skills
