Pure Staff’s Driving Team are recruiting experienced Part-Time HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our long-standing customers based in Hereford. Not every HGV Class 1 Driver wants to work five days a week. Whether you’re looking for one shift a week, three shifts a week, weekends only or specific days that fit around your lifestyle, we’ll do our best to build a regular driving rota around your availability.

Pay Rates

  • Monday to Friday (Days) – £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Monday to Friday (Nights) – £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Weekend (Days) – £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Weekend (Nights) – £24.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £26.90ph (with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)

The Role

As a Part-Time HGV Class 1 Driver in Hereford, you’ll be transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles across nationwide distribution routes. Typical work includes:

  • 1 to 3 deliveries or collections per shift
  • Average shift lengths of 8-10 hours (occasional 12-hour shifts)
  • Modern, well-maintained fleet

What You’ll Need

  • UK Category C+E Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 6 month’s HGV Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
  • Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations and vehicle safety checks
  • Previous palletised distribution or general haulage experience is beneficial but not essential
