Pure Staff’s Driving Team are recruiting experienced Flexible HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our long-standing customers based in Hereford. Every HGV Class 1 Driver is different. Some want four shifts a week, others want nights, some prefer days, while others only want weekends or a fixed rota. Tell us what works for you and we’ll do our best to build regular ongoing work around your availability with this customer who can almost always accommodate for any driver preference!

Pay Rates

  • Monday to Friday (Days) – £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Monday to Friday (Nights) – £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Weekend (Days) – £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
  • Weekend (Nights) – £24.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £26.90ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)

The Role

As a Flexible HGV Class 1 Driver in Hereford, you’ll be transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles across nationwide distribution routes. Typical work includes:

  • 1 to 3 deliveries or collections per shift
  • Average shift lengths of 8-10 hours (occasional 12-hour shifts)
  • Modern, well-maintained fleet
  • Consistent ongoing work with regular bookings

What You’ll Need

To be successful as a Flexible HGV Class 1 Driver in Hereford, you’ll need:

  • UK Category C+E Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
  • Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations and vehicle safety checks
  • Previous palletised distribution or general haulage experience is beneficial but not essential
