Location: Barton-Under-Needwood

Contract Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: £12.21

Shift Pattern: 50-hour work week, including weekends (12 days on, 2 days off). Daily hours: 4 to 5 hours between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General care and welfare of chickens
  • Daily cleaning and sanitation tasks
  • Removal of deceased livestock
  • Monitoring and maintaining adequate food and water supply
  • Practicing good stockmanship
  • Reporting any health or welfare concerns promptly

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Physically fit and reliable
  • Willingness to work weekends and long hours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience operating tractors and loaders
  • Previous farm work or livestock experience

Training:

Full training provided on site, including animal welfare and equipment use.
