Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm. Own transport needed due to location.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As Evening Operations Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of the operation, ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently and customer expectations are exceeded every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager
- Managing daily distribution planning across three depots
- Allocating work to drivers and subcontractors while ensuring timely departures
- Reacting quickly to vehicle breakdowns and operational changes
- Negotiating competitive rates with subcontractors
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and legal regulations
- Driving KPI performance and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
- Managing operational resources to achieve financial and customer service targets
- Maintaining accurate records and completing administration within deadlines
- Building strong internal and external relationships through effective communication and leadership
- Working 5 days out of 7 with occasional 6th shift when required
