The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Meeting and exceeding the required standards of performance and service from the transport section of the operations area in line with current vehicle laws and regulations for the fleet of vehicles and operators.
- Providing an efficient and effective service within the operations area of the business to all customers, both internal and external.
- Responsible for Drivers and Commercial Vehicle fleet.
- Responsible for the accurate planning of daily deliveries and collections.
- Overall responsibility for the daily upkeep, inspection, and cleanliness of vehicles.
- Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle fleet or your staff, both on and off the premises.
- Undertaking any additional tasks as requested by the Transport Manager.
- Overall planning and running of a fleet of temperature controlled vans, 18 tonne and 26 tonne vehicles.
Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Self-motivated.
- Team player.
- Good organisational skills.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Driving licence Cat B, van driving experience preferably, own transport is required due to site location.
This is a permanent role on site working Sunday - Thursday from 6am - 3pm.
