Permanent – St. Albans, Hertfordshire – Up to £28,000 per annum

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and managing essential customs documentation, including Goods Movement References (GMRs), European Logistics Envelopes (ELEs), Safety & Security Declarations, ICS2 Declaration, IPAFFS documentation.
  • Processing customer orders and accurately entering data into our transport management system.
  • Ensuring all charges and costs are applied correctly.
  • Verifying that the correct customs agents are assigned to each shipment.
  • Monitoring the progress and discharge of Transit (T1) documents, ensuring they are processed correctly and sent to the appropriate EU customs agents.
  • Responding to customer and driver enquiries via telephone and email, delivering a professional and efficient service.
  • Working collaboratively across departments to identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of the Customs Compliance Team.
  • Supporting the smooth movement of international shipments while maintaining full customs compliance.
