We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected steel manufacturing company based in Kingswinford. With decades of experience in the industry, this company is known for delivering high-quality steel products across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their production team with an experienced Cold Roll Forming Operative.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for long-term employment with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining cold roll forming machinery as part of the afternoon shift. You will work in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail, quality control, and adherence to health and safety standards are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up cold roll forming machines in accordance with job specifications
  • Operate machines to produce steel profiles and components
  • Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and standards
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure continuous operation
  • Adjust settings and tools to accommodate changes in product type or specifications
  • Keep accurate production and maintenance records
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet production targets

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating cold roll forming machinery or similar production equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out basic machine maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or job sheets is advantageous
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to work a fixed afternoon shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.00 – £14.00 per hour, based on experience
