Pure Staff’s Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Birmingham. Immediate starts and steady work (block bookings) are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing work with one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled logistics businesses, specialising in the storage and distribution of chilled and frozen food products. Operating an extensive network of strategically located cold storage facilities and distribution centres, they play a vital role in supplying major supermarkets, food manufacturers and food-service businesses throughout the UK and internationally.

Drivers will complete trunking runs between Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) using modern refrigerated trailers, transporting chilled and frozen products while maintaining the highest standards of temperature-controlled distribution. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with typical day shift start times around 01:00hrs and average shift lengths of approximately 12 hours. This is ongoing work with genuine long-term prospects, and temporary to permanent opportunities are very common for reliable drivers who demonstrate a professional attitude.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:

Night shifts are starts between 18:00hrs and 06:00hrs

Monday to Friday (Days) = £18.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.17ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Saturdays = £19.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £21.29ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Sundays and Bank Holidays = £20.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £22.41ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
