Your Role
- Assemble complex mechanical components to detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Build and fit power steering units, steering racks, brake calipers and pump assemblies
- Carry out sub-assembly and full build assembly processes
- Use hand tools, torque tools and precision measuring equipment
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet required tolerances and standards
- Identify and report faults, defects or component issues
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation
- Work in line with all quality, health & safety and production procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Assembly Operative role
- Experience assembling power steering systems, steering racks, brake calipers and pump assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
Pay & Shift Details
£12.71 per hour (progression based on experience and performance)
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 15:45
