We've supplied this customer for many years and, during the last three years alone, well over 100 Pure Staff temporary drivers have gone on to secure permanent employment with them. Permanent employment cannot be guaranteed, but if you're looking for stable weekday driving work with a major, professional company, this is one of our most established assignments.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be delivering genuine manufacturer car parts to dealerships, garages, body shops and trade customers throughout Derby and the surrounding region. You'll normally work from an established delivery route, making deliveries within approximately a 75-mile radius. Your day will typically involve:

  • Driving a large commercial van on established delivery routes
  • Delivering automotive parts to regular trade customers
  • Approximately 6 main deliveries per day, with additional local body-shop deliveries where required
  • Loading and unloading vehicle parts
  • Using a tail lift and pump truck where required
  • Checking your vehicle, paperwork and deliveries before leaving site
  • Providing a professional service to customers
  • Keeping in contact with the transport team throughout your shift

Some automotive parts can be large or heavy, so you must be comfortable with a reasonably physical delivery role and handling items safely using the equipment provided.

What We're Looking For

This role would suit an experienced Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver or Automotive Parts Driver looking for reliable weekday work. You'll need:

  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years

  • Confidence driving larger commercial vans
  • Previous commercial van or delivery driving experience
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable attendance and timekeeping
  • Confidence completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
  • To be comfortable with the physical aspects of the role

Six months' commercial van driving experience is preferred, but we're particularly interested in reliable drivers with the right attitude and relevant delivery experience.
