Looking for regular Monday to Friday van driving work with an early start and the potential to finish around lunchtime? Pure Staff is recruiting experienced Van Drivers for one of our longest-standing customers in Avonmouth, delivering vehicle parts to dealerships, garages and trade customers across the region. This is one of our most established driving contracts. More than 100 temporary drivers have secured permanent employment with this customer over the last 3 years, and we're now looking for additional drivers to join the team.
Hours & Pay
- £14.00 per hour
- Plus accrued holiday pay (worth an additional £1.69 per hour)
- Monday to Friday
- Typical starts between 07:00 and 09:00
- Usually 8 to 10 hours per shift
- No weekend working
- Ongoing work with no set end date, and potential perm offer
- Reliable and accurate weekly pay every Thursday night / Friday morning
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be driving a large van delivering vehicle parts to regular customers, generally within a 75 mile radius of Avonmouth. A typical day involves around 6 main deliveries plus additional body shop deliveries, including:
- Loading and unloading vehicle parts (some are heavy)
- Delivering items including engines, oil drums and other automotive components
- Using a tail lift and pump truck where required
- Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks
- Providing a professional service to regular customers
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years preferred
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Previous commercial van driving experience - 6+ months preferred
- Confidence driving larger vans
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- To be comfortable with manual handling
