Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Panel Wirer for our client, based in Redditch. Immediate starts are available following a successful interview process. Our client is a well-established manufacturer specialising in electrical control panels and assemblies. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a skilled team in a hands-on role with long-term potential.
Your role as a Panel Wirer:
- Reading and interpreting CAD schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel diagrams
- Building BMS and power plates to customer specifications
- Installing and wiring electrical control panels
- Using and maintaining tools including cutting tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Inspecting and testing panels before dispatch
- Packing panels effectively for delivery
- Identifying and reporting faults in electrical wiring systems
- Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and company standards
- Supervising and transferring skills to apprentices or semi-skilled workers
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year practical experience as a Panel Wirer
- Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and diagrams
- Knowledge of single and three-phase circuits, wiring accessories, and safety regulations
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrable ability to read and understand electrical circuits and carry out fault finding
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively between workshop and office teams
- Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience would be advantageous for higher-paid positions
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility following a successful probation period
- CSCS accreditation preferred
- Full clean driver's licence desirable
Pay & Shifts:
£13.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience and a successful interview. Candidates seeking a higher rate of £15.00 - £16.00 per hour must be able to demonstrate advanced circuit understanding, fault-finding capabilities, strong communication skills, and Team Leader or supervisory experience.
Monday to Friday: Start between 07:00 AM - 08:30 AM, 40 hours working week.
