The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for a Quality biased Product Manager working 5 days per week, to occasionally include the weekends. The Product Manager supports the Commercial, Technical and Procurement Team to maintain relationships between our growers, pickers and packers, ensuring we are able to meet our customer demand.

Some of the objectives are:

  • Working independently but in partnership with the team; highlight quality issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in management of fruit.
  • Organise samples and trials and if required be involved with any trials/sampling of new varieties or packaging.
  • Engage with any customer site visits as required.
  • Manage and monitor on site shelf for all products reporting any failures back to the Technical Manager.
  • Take active involvement in decision making in the daily production meeting, weekly availability meeting and weekly senior team meeting.
  • Effectively liaise and communicate on day-to-day quality issues.
  • Project a positive image to colleagues, site workers, customers, and suppliers in all interactions.
  • Deputise for your colleague/s at times of absence, holiday etc.
  • Ensure regular and ongoing feedback to suppliers and your colleagues on product quality to allow for continuous improvement.
  • Report any hygiene, machine, or other site concerns to the production manager.
  • Ensure that the customers required quality standards are understood and effectively maintained and communicated.
  • Through continuous improvement facilitate and support the development of improvement processes to deliver improved KPI performance.
