A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative & Driver to join their busy warehouse operation based in West Thurrock. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse and delivery experience who enjoys a hands-on role within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer and engineer orders accurately to tight deadlines
- Receiving, booking-in, storing, and dispatching stock efficiently
- Operating forklift trucks safely for loading, unloading, and warehouse movements
- Carrying out stock counts and resolving discrepancies using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Delivering stock to Central London locations using a company van when required
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping throughout the warehouse
- Supporting the engineering team when necessary
- Assisting with refurbishment of products and other general warehouse duties
Requirements
- Essential
- Previous warehouse experience including goods-in, pick/pack, dispatch, and general operations
- Valid Forklift Truck licence with practical experience
- Full UK manual driving licence with no major endorsements and a maximum of 3 points
- Confident driving small vans, including deliveries into Central London
- Experience using WMS systems, scanners, printers, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet KPIs and deadlines
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties safely
- Desirable
- Reach Truck licence
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Manual Handling, First Aid, or Fire Marshal training
