Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and exceeding the required standards of performance and service from the transport section of the operations area in line with current vehicle laws and regulations for the fleet of vehicles and operators.
  • Providing an efficient and effective service within the operations area of the business to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for Drivers and Commercial Vehicle fleet.
  • Responsible for the accurate planning of daily deliveries and collections.
  • Completing relevant delivery paperwork.
  • Overall responsibility for the daily upkeep, inspection, and cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle fleet or staff, both on and off the premises.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as requested by the Transport Manager.
  • Overall planning and running of a fleet of temperature controlled vans, 18 tonne and 26 tonne vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Self-motivated.

  • Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
