Our client is looking for a reliable, organised and confident Transport Operations Coordinator to support the Transport Planner and help ensure the day-to-day transport operation runs smoothly.
This is a hands-on operational role where you will be dealing directly with drivers and clients, coordinating jobs, answering calls and helping to put the transport plan into action.
You don't need to be an experienced Transport Planner. What's important is that you are organised, proactive, confident dealing with people and able to keep on top of a busy operation.

The Role
Working closely with the Transport Planner, you will help oversee the daily transport operation and ensure drivers, clients and jobs are effectively coordinated.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Transport Planner with the implementation of the daily transport plan
- Monitoring company vehicles, including status, xgikmsk usage and availability
- Booking jobs into the scheduling/dispatch system
- Communicating with drivers throughout the day regarding job allocations, schedules and availability
- Keeping in regular contact with drivers to ensure jobs are progressing as planned
- Handling inbound and outbound calls from clients and customers
- Taking job requests, providing updates and dealing with general enquiries
