You must have customer focused commercial experience from within the FMCG industry as you will be responsible for the management and development of key product categories. You should have a firm understanding of how to manage customer expectations, whilst achieving sales, margin targets and ensuring they are consistently up to date with market knowledge on consumer trends and product lines. You should have strong admin & analytical skills.
The successful Commercial Manager will work closely with the senior team to meet customer demand and offer & deliver the highest standard of customer satisfaction to key retail accounts. This is a pivotal position at a crucial and exciting time and offers a commercially driven individual the opportunity to become part of the passionate commercial team and support the success of the business going forward.
The candidate must be able to build honest and strong relationships with key commercial contacts, offering market leading category management. The position involves working as part of the team to ensure commercial expectations are met with outstanding service levels achieved.

- Provide market leading category management to support our clients aims of sales and share growth.
- Deliver outstanding understanding of key customers service expectations to the business and ensure these expectations are met.
- Establish, develop and maintain a commercially beneficial relationship with key clients.
- Write, implement, evolve and communicate a joint category plan for all required areas.
- Provide on time weekly sales forecasting to the business.
- Contribute creatively and technically towards the promotion and development of the product range.
- Continuously evaluate the supply chain to identify cost savings and opportunities to improve the quality and freshness of the product.
- Liaise with internal departments (supply chain, procurement, technical, operations) to ensure quality and timely delivery of product.
- Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to address sourcing and availability issues.
- Understand and communicate technical issues where necessary and liaise on these issues internally with technical and quality teams to achieve satisfactory resolution.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the market sector including consumer trends, competitor activity and product lines.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for profitable business growth within key accounts & ensure the adherence of administrative and financial systems and controls.
- Provide summary information regarding sales, volumes, margins and prices as and when required.
