Pure Staff have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to join our client in Manchester. This is an ongoing position working with a highly respected business within the fresh produce and wholesale distribution industry, offering consistent work, excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to join a professional transport operation.
Our client is a leading fresh produce wholesaler supplying fruit, vegetables and related products to customers across the UK through a well-established distribution network.

Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £15.40 per hour PAYE
- £16.40 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Saturday
- £18.38 per hour PAYE
Flexible Holiday Pay Options

Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
- Typical shift lengths of 8 to 12 hours
- Long runs with a mixture of local and nationwide deliveries
- Ongoing work available
- Overtime opportunities when required
Duties of the Class 2 Day Driver
As a Class 2 Day Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Completing approximately 10-12 deliveries and collections per shift
- Delivering to stores and customer locations
- Operating tail lift equipment safely
- Completing PODs and delivery paperwork accurately
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Maintaining compliance with all transport and driving regulations
This Class 2 Day Driver position combines driving, customer interaction and delivery responsibilities within the wholesale distribution and logistics sector.
Requirements
To be considered for this Class 2 Day Driver vacancy, you will need:
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C / LGV C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good geographical knowledge
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong communication skills
- Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience advantageous
