Bishops Stortford | £13.40 per hour, rising to £13.82 after 12 weeks | Temp-to-Perm | 06:00 Starts Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting reliable and professional Van Drivers for a fantastic long-term opportunity with one of our longest-standing customers based in Bishops Stortford.
This is ongoing work with a genuine view to a temp-to-perm opportunity for dedicated and reliable Van Drivers.
We have worked with this customer for over 5 years, and they regularly use Pure Staff as a route to introduce good drivers into their business before offering successful individuals permanent employment.
Our customer is a well-established British furniture and homeware retailer delivering high-quality furniture directly into customer's homes throughout the UK.
This isn't simply a driving job.
You'll work as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering furniture directly into residential homes and placing items into the customer's room of choice.

What You'll Be Doing As a Van Driver, you'll work alongside another member of the delivery team and be responsible for: Driving a van to residential properties Delivering furniture directly into customer's homes Carrying items into the customer's room of choice Carrying furniture upstairs where required Safely handling large and heavy furniture Carefully navigating hallways, doorways and staircases Protecting customer's furniture and property Providing excellent customer service throughout every delivery Please be aware that this is a physically demanding role.
There will be regular lifting and carrying of heavy furniture, including carrying items upstairs.
What We're Looking For Because you will be delivering directly into people's homes, professionalism and customer service are extremely important.
We're looking for Van Drivers who: Hold a valid UK Category B driving licence Are confident driving commercial vans Are physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting Are polite, friendly and professional Understand the importance of respecting customers and their homes Handle furniture carefully and take pride in their work Are reliable and punctual Are comfortable with early 06:00 starts Can be flexible when delivery routes result in longer days Are interested in a genuine long-term opportunity Previous experience in van driving, furniture delivery, removals, home delivery, multi-drop or two-person delivery would be advantageous.
