Pure Staff are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver working day shifts for the following role. This position offers either ongoing agency work or temp-to-perm opportunities following a successful trial period.
A HGV Class 2 Driver is required for an ASAP start for a company specialising in the delivery of office printers, based in Doncaster. This role involves 2-man deliveries, delivering printers, so heavy handball is required.
Pay Rates:
- Days: Monday to Friday £16.52 per hour (PAYE)
- Overtime: £18.29 per hour after 8 hours
After completing 12 weeks of work, you will be entitled to a pay increase (to be confirmed). Your hourly pay rate is £16.52, and you will accrue £2.30 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked. This is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to ensure drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper rest, as regular time off is essential for safety and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have:
- HGV Class 2 Licence
- No more than 6 points
- At least 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
Duties of a Class 2 Driver:
- Heavy handball, 2-man deliveries
- Delivery and installation of printers (training provided)
- 10-12 hour shifts
- 5:00am start times
- Occasional installation of Amazon lockers
- Professional interaction with customers
- Clean driving licence with no more than 6 points (no TT, TS, MS, DR, DD, DG codes)
