Job Title: Yard Shunter (AM Shift)

Pay Rates:
- £16.50 per hour (Monday-Friday AM shifts)
- £19.50 per hour (Weekends)

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Yard Shunter to join our team in Hereford. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent AM shift work with competitive weekday and enhanced weekend pay rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely manoeuvring vehicles and trailers within the yard
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading/unloading
- Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Working closely with the warehouse and transport teams to maintain efficient operations
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence preferred (may consider experienced shunters without)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card (if applicable)
- Previous shunting or yard experience is essential
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Shift Pattern:
- AM starts (exact times to be confirmed)
- Weekend availability required
