Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Day Driver to work with one of our valued clients based in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for ongoing day shifts, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.
As an HGV Class 2 Day Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods to customers across your designated route. Drivers can expect to complete between 3 and 12 drops per shift, using a pump truck to assist with deliveries. Average shift lengths are between 10 and 12 hours, with start times typically between 05:00 and 08:00.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods safely and efficiently.
- Carry out between 3 and 12 deliveries per shift.
- Use a pump truck to assist with deliveries where required.
- Wear the correct PPE at all times, including safety boots and hi-vis clothing.
- Successfully complete a driving assessment prior to commencing work.
Requirements:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A minimum of 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
Monday to Friday Days: £15.50 per hour plus £1.87 per hour accrued holiday pay (equivalent to £17.37 per hour including holiday pay).
