Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join a well-established logistics operation in the Bristol area. Pay Rates
PAYE Rates
- Monday to Friday: £17.13 per hour
- Saturday: £17.13 per hour
- Sunday / Bank Holiday: £17.13 per hour
PAYE Rates Including Holiday Pay
- Monday to Friday: £19.20 per hour
- Saturday: £19.20 per hour
- Sunday / Bank Holiday: £19.20 per hour
Holiday pay is accrued separately and paid in line with PAYE regulations. Rolled-up holiday pay is not available for this vacancy.
About the Role
Our client is a leading logistics and distribution business operating a professional and driver-focused transport operation. This HGV Class 1 Day Driver role involves trunking and pallet distribution work with regular routes, planned schedules and no handball duties.
The work is straightforward, well organised and ideal for drivers looking for long-term employment within the transport and logistics industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collecting empty pallets from Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs)
- Delivering pallets to customer and client locations
- Completing occasional network collections and deliveries
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing delivery paperwork and POD documentation
- Following all company procedures and transport legislation
- Adhering to Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Maintaining a professional and safe approach at all times
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing work throughout the year
- Day shifts available
- Typical start time of 06:00
- Shift durations between 8 and 12 hours
- Consistent and regular workload
- Additional shifts may be available
Requirements
- Valid Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Professional attitude and excellent work ethic
