Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bristol, completing local deliveries of palletised and boxed aggregate to builders' merchants. This is consistent Monday to Friday day work, with regular 06:30 starts and shifts typically finishing between 16:30 and 17:00, depending on the day's run.
You'll be driving a modern Class 1 artic flatbed vehicle with cage sides, completing approximately 3 deliveries per day. Drivers are responsible for strapping and securing their loads, so previous flatbed or load-security experience would be particularly beneficial.
Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver Monday to Friday Days:
- £17.00 per hour (+ accrued holiday pay) or £19.05 per hour (including holiday)
- Saturday (occasional / optional): £19.00 per hour (+ accrued holiday pay) or £21.29 per hour (including holiday)
- Sunday / Bank Holiday (occasional / optional): £21.00 per hour (+ accrued holiday pay) or £23.53 per hour (including holiday)
Your Typical Working Day:
- Monday to Friday work
- Regular 06:30 start time
- Typically finishing around 16:30 to 17:00
- Approximately 3 local deliveries per day
- Delivering palletised and boxed aggregate to builders' merchants
- Driving an artic flatbed with cage sides
- Collecting loads from the aggregate site in Harlow
- Generally returning to site following each delivery to reload

What We're Looking For:
- A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A valid Driver CPC / DQC
- A minimum of 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Confidence securing and strapping loads
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
- Previous flatbed, builders' merchant, aggregate or load-strapping experience would be advantageous.
