Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Hereford. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent ongoing work with one of the UK's leading logistics and distribution companies.
Our customer is one of the UK's largest privately owned transport and logistics businesses, providing nationwide distribution, warehousing and supply chain solutions for many of the country's best-known retailers, manufacturers and food producers. Operating a modern fleet from a nationwide network of depots, they have built an excellent reputation for investing in its people, maintaining high safety standards and delivering reliable logistics services across the UK.
One of the biggest advantages of this contract is its flexibility. We understand that not every HGV Class 1 Driver wants the same working pattern, which is why we work closely with both our drivers and our customer to accommodate individual preferences wherever possible. Whether you prefer day shifts, night shifts, tramping with paid night-out allowance, 'in and out' shifts with no nights away, weekdays only, weekends only or a mixture of both, we'll discuss your availability during registration and do our best to build work around your preferred schedule.
Typical work involves transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles, with most routes consisting of 1 to 3 deliveries per shift. Average shift lengths are 8 to 10 hours, with occasional 12-hour shifts depending on the route. This is genuine ongoing work, and reliable drivers quickly become regular members of the driving team with excellent opportunities to secure permanent employment.
FANTASTIC PAY RATES for a HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Monday to Friday (Days) = £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Monday to Friday (Nights) = £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Weekend (Days) = £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Weekend (Nights) = £24.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £26.90ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Driver role in Hereford, you will need:
- UK Category C+E Licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
