HGV Class 2 Driver - Monday to Friday - Temp to Perm

£21.29 per hour | Monday to Friday | Ongoing Work | Potential Temp-to-Perm

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for an established food distribution business based in Tottenham, N17. This is a Monday to Friday position, typically starting at 06:45, with shifts averaging around 10 hours. You'll be completing multi-drop deliveries across London and surrounding areas in an 18-tonne vehicle, delivering to wholesale and retail customers. The customer is ideally looking to strengthen its permanent driving team, so while permanent employment cannot be guaranteed, there is a genuine possibility of temporary work developing into a permanent position for the right drivers.

Pay & Details

• Monday to Friday (Days) = £21.29ph
• Accurate & reliable weekly pay every Thursday evening / Friday morning.
• Monday to Friday only, no weekend shifts currently required.
• Ongoing, full-time hours.
• Potential temp-to-perm opportunity.

• The rates above include an additional 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll be responsible for:

• Multi-drop deliveries across London and surrounding areas.
• Primarily driving an 18-tonne HGV.
• Following planned routes and daily delivery manifests.
• Checking deliveries and obtaining proof of delivery.
• Loading and unloading boxes, cartons, sacks and other food products.
• Completing daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Providing a professional service when delivering to customers.
• Supporting with other suitable vehicles, including 3.5-tonne vans, where occasionally required.

This is a hands-on driving role, so drivers must be comfortable with loading, unloading and physically handling stock.

Our Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience or confidence working within a busy multi-drop environment.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and tachograph requirements.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely load, unload and move stock.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Previous experience within food distribution, wholesale or London multi-drop delivery work would be advantageous.
