Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our legacy customers based in Tewkesbury. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing work with one of the South West's leading dairy producers. Our customer is one of the UK's largest independent family-owned dairies, supplying fresh milk, cream, butter, cheese and dairy products to retailers, food manufacturers, hospitality businesses and homes across the South West, Midlands and Wales. Operating a modern transport fleet from its headquarters in Tewkesbury, they have built an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and investing in both their people and their fleet.
Drivers will complete a mixture of trunking runs to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), supermarket stores and customer locations, along with returning empty cages to distribution centres. This is a varied Class 1 role offering both day and night shifts across Monday to Sunday (excluding Saturday nights and Sunday morning starts). Ongoing work is available with consistent shifts for dependable drivers.
Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.61ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Monday to Friday (Nights) = £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Weekends if available = £20.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £22.41ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
We believe drivers deserve honest PAYE employment without confusing pay arrangements. Direct PAYE employment with Pure Staff. Accurate and reliable weekly pay every Thursday night / Friday morning. Paid by our experienced in-house payroll team. Just straightforward PAYE employment with simple payslips.
Optional Rolled-Up Holiday Pay:
- Have holiday pay accrued and paid when you take annual leave, or
- Receive Rolled-Up Holiday Pay as part of your weekly wages.
If you choose Rolled-Up Holiday Pay, the holiday element will be clearly identified on every payslip. Regardless of which option you choose, you remain legally entitled to take your annual leave, and Pure Staff expects all drivers to take their statutory holiday entitlement. We closely monitor Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations to help keep our drivers safe and compliant.
To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Driver role, you will need:
- UK Category C+E Licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Newly qualified (New Pass) drivers are welcome to apply
