Pay Rates
Monday to Friday £16.00 per hour (Basic Pay) £17.93 per hour (Including Holiday Pay) Saturday £16.00 per hour (Basic Pay) £17.93 per hour (Including Holiday Pay) Sunday / Bank Holidays £16.00 per hour (Basic Pay) £17.93 per hour (Including Holiday Pay) Holiday Pay Information Holiday pay is accrued separately in line with current legislation. Rolled-up holiday pay is not available for this vacancy.
About the Role
As a
HGV C1 Driver , you will be working within the removals industry, supporting residential and commercial moves throughout the region. Working alongside porters, you will help deliver a professional and efficient service to customers while ensuring all goods are transported safely and securely.
Duties and Responsibilities
Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and professionally Loading furniture and household goods onto vehicles Delivering goods to residential and commercial properties Unloading and positioning items as directed by customers Securing loads using appropriate equipment and restraints Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects Working closely with porters and site teams Providing excellent customer service at all times Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday work available Optional Saturday and Sunday overtime Ongoing long-term assignments Typical start times between 08:00 and 18:00 Shift lengths typically between 8 and 12 hours Regular and consistent work patterns
Requirements
Valid HGV C1 (7.5T) Licence Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations Strong customer service skills Ability to undertake manual handling duties Reliable and professional approach to work
