Pay Rates
Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour PAYE £19.05 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay Saturday £19.00 per hour PAYE £21.29 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay Sunday & Bank Holidays £20.00 per hour PAYE £22.41 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method for this vacancy.
About the Role
We are recruiting a
Class 1 Driver
for a leading logistics and distribution operation within the temperature-controlled supply chain sector. This role offers ongoing work throughout the year, excellent facilities and strong potential for drivers seeking long-term employment or a future permanent position. The work is clean and straightforward, involving refrigerated trailer trunking between distribution centres with no manual handling required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Trunking chilled and refrigerated goods to RDCs Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts Complying with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations Maintaining accurate delivery and transport paperwork Following site procedures and health and safety requirements Delivering a professional service at all times No handball involved
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday Ongoing long-term work Optional Saturday and Sunday overtime available Typical start times between 5:00am and 6:00am Occasional later starts up to 10:00am Shift durations between 8 and 12 hours Day shifts
Requirements
Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations Reliable and professional approach Strong safety awareness Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
