Pure Search are currently partnered with a FTSE 100 business who are seeking an in-house Tax Manager. The Tax Manager will work within the tax team to provide tax services to the wider group, focusing on supporting the tax leads.

The responsibilities include:

  • Undertake all aspects of direct tax compliance for the group including the preparation of direct tax computations and research/documentation of the appropriate tax treatment of commercial transactions, working with external advisers as needed.
  • Prepare analysis as required by internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of direct tax advice on implications arising from commercial transactions including day-to-day transactions, restructuring transactions, organic and inorganic growth.
  • Prepare IFRS tax reporting, and tax notes for statutory accounts.
  • Prepare cash tax and earnings tax forecasts.
  • Promote the group’s tax policy, actively working to secure its implementation.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA/CTA Qualified.
  • Proactive approach to work, acquiring knowledge and awareness of business activities to provide commercially focused tax support and tax assurance.
  • Strong and demonstrable tax technical skills.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to make decisions dynamically and assess acceptable levels of business risks, capable of making decisions in complex environments.
