Pure Search are partnered with an instantly recognisable company based in Glasgow, looking to hire a Tax Director. The successful candidate will join a high-performing finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of corporate tax processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic business objectives through expert tax management and advisory insight.
Base Pay Range: Up to £90,000 + 10% bonus. 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 12 professionals to manage a portfolio of businesses and processes across multiple regions, contributing to tax filings, payments, forecasting, provisioning, and reporting.
- Participate in a structured corporate tax function, including performing technical tax research and supporting various project initiatives.
- Prepare and submit responses to tax authorities during audits or information requests.
- Handle other tax reporting requirements and related analyses as needed.
- Serve as the regional lead for existing operational models, providing advisory support for their implementation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and the broader global tax team on tax-related matters.
- Coordinate with finance and tax control teams to ensure accurate data collection and smooth process execution.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting their professional growth and performance.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Possesses a strong understanding of EMEA Corporation Tax compliance and associated reporting processes.
- Has knowledge of tax forecasting, deferred tax, and accounting for income taxes.
- Holds a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, ATT, or CTA.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of working in complex tax environments, ideally within a multinational or financial services setting.
- Has experience with US GAAP and EMEA tax compliance.
- Demonstrates people management experience, with the ability to guide and motivate high-performing teams.
