A leading multinational organisation is seeking a highly skilled Group Tax Manager to join its global tax function. Reporting to the Head of Tax and working closely with the CFO, this role will provide critical expertise across tax compliance, reporting, and strategic advisory matters. You will play a central role in tax disclosures, managing audits, liaising with overseas teams and advisors, and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations. This is a senior technical position offering exposure to complex international tax issues, without direct responsibility for leading the tax function. It is ideal for an experienced professional looking to make a significant impact at group level, in a managing capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Year-End & Quarterly Reporting: Oversee preparation of consolidated tax provisions and disclosures, ensuring compliance with IAS. Liaise with overseas teams and auditors, delivering clear summaries for senior leadership.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, reviewing computations from external advisors and ensuring timely, accurate filings.
  • Strategic Advisory: Support M&A, restructuring, and corporate initiatives, embedding tax considerations into group decision‑making.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Assist with budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning, ensuring tax impacts are fully integrated.
  • Transfer Pricing: Develop and maintain compliant transfer pricing policies, oversee Master File production, and manage third‑party advisors.
  • Treasury & FX: Partner with treasury to optimise intercompany funding, monitor FX exposures, and advise on tax‑efficient financing structures.
  • International Regulations: Lead processes for CbC reporting, OECD Pillar II implementation, and Corporate Interest Restriction compliance.
  • Audit & HMRC Liaison: Act as primary contact for HMRC and overseas tax authorities, managing queries, audits, and compliance obligations.

Candidate Profile

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or equivalent).
  • 8–10 years’ experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of international tax, transfer pricing, treasury, and FX.
  • Proven experience in CbC reporting, Pillar II implementation, and HMRC compliance.
  • Exposure to M&A and restructuring projects with board‑level interaction.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
