We are supporting an established financial services group looking to add to their Tax team. They are looking for a VAT specialist to join them. The role has a strong compliance focus but will allow you the opportunity to get involved in corporate tax work, advisory and project support.
What we are looking for:
- The role would suit someone currently in-house or an individual looking for their first in-house move (from practice).
- A track record within VAT and VAT compliance is preferred.
- FS experience is beneficial but not a must.
The role:
- Producing quarterly VAT partial exemption calculations
- Handling VAT-related queries from finance teams
- Preparing VAT reconciliations
- Managing UK PAYE settlement calculations and filings
- Enhancing processes and controls, including use of technology where relevant
- Supporting the business on corporate tax and VAT queries
- Tracking legislative changes and sharing key impacts with stakeholders
